There is a false report on my airbag being deployed. I have tried to resolve this for at least 3 months and have not gotten a response from CARFAX. It's very frustrating when you're trying to sell your car and there is a false report.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology.
It's impossible to get through to Carfax. Every email requires a two-day wait for a response, and the response always requests more information. This is absolutely the worst customer service.
- Awful customer service
Preferred solution: My accisdent report, which was already paid for.
User's recommendation: Stay away

Verified ReviewerDiscrepancy on your report of this vehicle
Not good
I purchased a vehicle from a used car lot three years ago. I attempted to sell this vehicle and was informed that the CarFax report labels it as a total loss.
I spoke with the insurance company and they informed me that the claim made was for $5280.00 on a 2017 Suburban Premier. It shouldn't show as a total loss for VIN# 1gnscjkcxhe148278.
- Information is not correct
Preferred solution: The car fax corrected so that it doesn’t show a total loss
User's recommendation: Car fax records aren’t correct

I paid for the carfax and put my email address there. It sent me a receipt but no report. When I click on view report on my email, it takes me to the same page where I have to put the vin number and pay again.

Verified ReviewerFALSE LISTING
Hi, my name is Gilberto Marchetti and on 4/4/24 I made a down payment of $20,000 on a 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Vin #WP0AF2A91KS164120 which (SUPEREXOTICAR, LLC) listed for 207,000,00 on your (CARFAX online listing) with SUPEREXOTICAR, LLC with a (CARFAX ADVANTAGE DEALER) and 5.0 STAR REVIEW. On 4/17/24 I found out that the dealership listed (111 Row Three Lafayette, LA) was a stolen identity (SUPEREXOTICAR, LLC) and the salesperson (ALEX ADAMI) made his own website with copied cars pictures that are not for sale.
I am a victim of fraud and out of $20,000 because I did strongly believe that CARFAX did a diligent check on the dealerships before CARFAX posted on the website.
Also, this dealership has another address listed (8727 Business Park Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana 71105) which is an empty building.
I made an extensive report on this fraud with the authorities and hope you will investigate this matter since you were the ones that had all the informations to make a legitimate listing.
Yes. I am a pissed consumer, and I hope to hear back from you with satisfactory results and hope to recover my down payment.
Regards
Gilberto Marchetti

Verified ReviewerReport possible corrupt practices with a dealership on your site.
I wanted to pay cash for a 2016 Mercedes GLE 350 that was priced at $14,995.00 with 79K mi. The dealer is Queens Auto Expo, 5511 Northern Blvd, Woodside, NY 11377.
I noticed that their business was only a few miles from the airport, so I planned to fly up, purchase the car and then drive it home. I had also planned to hire a local mechanic to inspect the car and test drive it before I arrived. However, I was told I had to use their bank and also pay a deposit of 5K even if I was paying cash for the car, and that the deposit was in addition to the price of the car, making the price $18,995.00. These people are not honest.
I wanted to report them before they attempt to deceive someone else with this bank that they claim must be used for all their transactions. I thought it necessary to inform you before someone becomes a victim of these individuals.
- I have information about a potential car before i buy it
User's recommendation: Stay away from Queens Auto Expo!

Verified ReviewerIncorrect Branded Title listing
I sold my car through Autotrader.com. I was told that Carfax had my car listed incorrectly as a branded title.
I sent in my title, which is clear. Two weeks later, nothing has been done. I can't sell my car. You cannot call or email Carfax.
They won't respond. In checking other review sites, I see that this type of thing has been going on for years.
- There is no customer care at carfax
